What to eat, when in Italy
There’s no denying that the food is the draw card when eating in Italy , so we thought we’d share our favourite delicacies to indulge in when holidaying.
Focaccia
Carbs best served up fresh for breakfast, lunch and dinner, dipped in oil or drenched in tomatoes. A daily staple to relish in whilst playing the cool tourist. Hot tip, pop into the locals food markets for a pick of the best.
2. Gelato
The best way to escape the heat of a European summer or the perfect post dinner palette cleanser.
3. Not just any type of pasta
When eating pasta around Italy a favourite was always a gamberi (prawn) or aragosta (lobster) spaghetti, simply done yet to die for.
4. Croissant & Coffee
We call it the alternative breakfast and one that we love is an everyday ritual for Italians and ourselves when on vacay. Take your pick of plain or nutella, ricotta or pistachio filled goodness in yours.
5. Cannoli
Whether you learn to make this scrumptious sweet by hand or order one to go on the streets, savour the flavour as they disappear pretty quickly.
